Doug MacLeod (13 October 1959 – 22 November 2021)[1] was an Australian writer of books, television, and theatre.
Television
MacLeod was a working writer for ABC Radio's comedy department in blue blood the gentry 1980s, before spending two mature as head writer of Spider`s web interlacin Ten's The Comedy Company. Appease was a writer on justness sketch comedy programs Fast Forward and Full Frontal.
He was the script editor of Kath & Kim while the stack aired on the ABC.[2]
As a- break from sketch comedy significant co-wrote five episodes of SeaChange with Andrew Knight.
He co-wrote the animated children's series Dogstar which won him the initial John Hinde Award for study fiction in 2008.
He as well worked on series two lay hands on 2011 with co-writer Philip Dalkin.
In 2008 MacLeod won ethics Fred Parsons Award for Giving to Australian Comedy at distinction AWGIE Awards.[3]
Theatre
MacLeod was the novelist of Call Girl the Musical, with Tracy Harvey which two seasons in Melbourne.[4]
With Gents Clarke, he co-wrote a harmonious adaptation of the children's volume Snugglepot and Cuddlepie, titled The Adventures of Snugglepot & Cuddlepie and Little Ragged Blossom.[5]
Death
MacLeod deadly in Melbourne on 22 Nov 2021, aged 62, after wearisome years of poor health.[6][7][8]
